The Accessories page has a lot of new items and great ideas for Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.
To quote the 90's rap visionary, Ice Cube: "You better SHEG yo' self, before you wreck yo' self"
This month, we’re spotlighting ‘E’ - Eyewear.
Eyewear is required on every ride. With Christmas coming up, get your parents to drop some sunnies, clears, or photochromics in your stocking. See some ideas here!
On Saturday the 16th we held our annual Maroons time trial. 22 Maroons showed up put down some great lap times. Check out the Strava Segment, there are 17 Maroon club members on the board. We have a Lady Maroon at the very top of the leaderboard in front of every single person who's ever ridden that trail while using Strava (Dash - you better start recording those rides, lol)!
Along with coach assessment, these time trial results were used to help inform our breakdown of riders into PODS. Athletes were broken out into PODS the first time on Tuesday Nov. 19; with the Platinum and Gold PODS heading to Styrofoam Jawbone while the Silver and Bronze PODS rode the Bluestem Loop.
Feedback on PODS has been very positive from athletes and coaches thus far. If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out.
Congrats to our new Level 2 coaches: John, Tyler, and Conrad! Cindy, Joel, Matt, Stephen, Steven, Mike, and Dave are on the way - get that First Aid and CPR wrapped up Maroons!
Good times were had at last month's Coaches' ride. Make sure you're there for this month on December 8th!
Thanks to Conrad and Tyler for cleaning up the TT route - it's 100% less stabby now!
The secure coaching site has undergone some big revisions, be sure to spend some time checking it out. A new Tech Check app (thanks coach Tyler for all the input), a Coaching Language Page, Values, Roles, Ego, and secure Coach Notes have all been added. Coaching PODS was updated and many additional maps were added. NOTE: only current, verified Maroons coaches are able to access these coaching links. Curious about coaching? Here ya go!
Specifically, the Tech Check app will allow you to sort features by POD and obstacle type (Ledge, Drop, etc.). Features are mapped by location and difficulty. All coaches have the ability to upload and map new features. All features must have an associated picture. Ideally, as coaches become more independent with their PODS they'll use this tool to find an obstacle to train their POD with.
