Last day to order team kit - Friday, November 6th. If you fail to buy a kit, you can not race this year
Saturday, November 7th is our Time Trial We meet at Moonshadow. Don't go to ATX Bikes. Get stoked!
Athletes can see their Mock Time Trial results in Flysport!
Flysport is now our primary means of communication. Email will only be sent for the Eyes Up! Newsletter going forward. Athletes, Coaches AND Parents - Install and monitor Flysport daily.
With the holidays approaching, be sure to go into Flysport and mark your availability for the coming weeks/months.
We need pictures for our galleries this year. Athletes, parents, coaches make an effort to snap pics at practice, races, and social events. When you get a good one, please use the submit links at the top of the gallery.
We are working on T-shirts. Purchase forms coming soon!
Travis Country Jingle Bell Ride is December 19th. Mark your attendance and plan to be there. This is a huge outreach event for the team. AHS coaches and senior athletes will be responsible for helping guide small PODS of upwards of 200 residents on established routes through the neighborhood. This is a fun event and goes a long way to ingratiating us with the neighbors we ride around every week. Furthermore, it's a NICA Team Trail Corps event.
We've had some great pre-season rides this October!
We've hosted 50 different riders this pre-season. We've seen some trail, hit some gnarly features, ripped some corners, ridden some veloway, and made some new friends.
A few lessons from this pre-season: Eyes up, arms relaxed. Look where you want to go. The Four L's (or Flare and Fold). Body bike separation. Level pedals. You're not shifting enough. Don't pedal through corners. When you fall - turtle up!
To quote the 90's rap visionary, Ice Cube: "You better SHEG yo' self, before you wreck yo' self"
This month, we’re spotlighting ‘T’ - Tools.
Every rider is expected to carry repair tools with them on every ride. Review our updated Accessories page for tool kit components. Be sure to check out Lights as well!
All coaches - check in riders. SHEGWAT.
We want all coaches attending CnD group rides. Do it. You need to spend some time on the bike for yourself - and get faster while you're doing it.
Coaches, when you get a chance snap a pic of a practice. Your POD, the bigger groups, other coaches, etc. Submit them to the gallery links. Thanks
As a non-profit 501(c)3 entity, we are dedicated to our mission of building lifelong cyclists through Safety, Respect, Hard Work, and Fun.
As a volunteer organization, we rely on the help of the parents of our athletes. As such, we will expect that all families contribute of their time. We have many volunteer opportunities on race weekends, the most important of which is handling the meals for your athletes. Please review these opportunities and let our team director know how you'll be contributing this season to help make another incredible year.
